Viral Video: The streets in Punjab’s Patiala turned into a scary ‘rash driving game’, after allegedly some youngsters driving recklessly ended up hitting multiple shops and commuters while trying to outrun anyone and everyone who wanted to catch them. Although the car was hardly speeding, it still created a huge ruckus in what appeared to be a crowded market area, in an attempt to dodge getting caught. A video of the same was shared online, which went viral. The number plate of the vehicle read ‘HR’, hinting towards the car being from Haryana, which further angered netizens.

The incident reportedly took place on June 02, while the clip was being recorded by one of the commuters who was chasing after the unbothered driver. As per the reports, the car eventually stopped after hitting a pillar, which gave the people a chance to get hold of the driver. People, as per reports by Deccan Herald, handed the youngsters over to the police, where one of them managed to flee.

The video instantly went viral and left people irked. Most chastised the driver’s driving, while the rest tagged the authorities in the clip and demanded action. The rest expressed concerns over the people who were running behind, however, no major injuries were reported.

The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘thind_akashdeep’. The post was captioned, “Shocking video of Patiala, #Punjab Rash driving by the youngsters in Patiala.” The video was shared yesterday and pulled 52K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “@DGPPunjabPolice @LudhianaTraffic @trafficchd please take note of this video and please inform Patiala police to take action,” a user said. “Surprisingly, they didn’t hurt anyone. Otherwise, things would have been much ugly,” added a second person.

“@PunjabPoliceInd @PatialaPolice Respected Sir, Kindly take strict action against the culprits. #Patiala #PunjabPolice,” added a third user. “So they took seriously ‘lofar the Haryana k’ song lyrics,” commented a fourth person. “Please confirm if he's been punished to write at least a 300-word essay on road safety,” said another.
