Bengaluru Couple Viral Video: A young couple’s emotional video about leaving Bengaluru due to pollution is striking a chord online. Aswin and Aparna, both 27, shared how worsening air quality pushed them to take a tough call, leaving behind the city they once called home. They weren’t just casual residents. From being classmates in 2014 to building a business together, Bengaluru was the heart of their journey. “We loved the vibe. The people. The food,” they said in the viral Instagram clip. But their turning point came when they checked the Air Quality Index one day, it showed a worrying 297. “That’s the worst kind of air, and no one’s talking about it,” Aparna added.
In the video, Aswin revealed he developed breathing problems, while Aparna, who rarely fell ill, was suddenly always sneezing and coughing. Despite clean eating, regular workouts, and a healthy lifestyle, their symptoms persisted. That’s when they knew the air itself was the problem. “You might hate us, but Bangalore is slowly killing us,” they said. And with that honesty, they decided to relocate in search of better air and peace of mind. “Namma Bengaluru is amazing. Even to start a business, it’s the best place to be but we had to make this choice as soon as possible. Before the city could sink us in, we left Bangalore,” they explained.

The video shared four days ago on Instagram under the handle 'zindagified' was captioned, “If we had known this sooner. We might’ve left Bangalore earlier... Let’s enjoy the process of life and let’s all be ZINDAGIFIED! Follow us to see if we FAIL or SUCCEED in this journey!... This video is put up only for Awareness purposes. We do not intend to spread any hate towards Bangalore or Bangaloreans. We completely stand with the city for any kind of support/growth.”
The video since after being shared, received 994k views from people. While many resonated with their message, the couple also received backlash online. One user wrote, "We should all own the city and fight for better air & infrastructure, rather than fighting over the north & south divide!" "Please leave, Bangalore was just fine before people started moving here for work and overcrowding the city. Also, the part you're calling Bangalore isn't even Bangalore; it's an extension to accommodate the crowd over the years. Try exploring the actual Bangalore!" a second user added.

"Vacate Bengaluru, everyone. So that people already living here can live in peace and get the fresh air back," a third user wrote. "Great decision. If people like you start spreading such false information, then Bengaluru will truly become even healthier. I support this move," added a fourth user. "As a Bangalorean, y’all in the comments section gotta stop taking this so personally, and instead try to make our city safer for everyone. Yes, overpopulation is a problem, but if you’re gonna blame anyone, blame the govt, not outsiders," added another user.
