Entrepreneur Ragini Das has hit a major milestone in her career by taking on the role of Head of Google for Startups, India. She shared a series of news on X, calling it a 'full-circle' moment that opens an exciting new chapter in her professional journey. “Life has come full circle, and I’m excited to share that I’ve joined Google as Head of Google for Startups – India,” she wrote, sharing her pride and enthusiasm for the road ahead. Ragini’s career journey is a story of resilience and growth. Back in 2013, she interviewed with both Google and Zomato.
Though she didn’t clear Google’s final round at the time, she joined Zomato and spent six transformative years there, contributing to sales, growth and international expansion. Looking back, she said, “Zomato helped me identify my career moat, gave me lifelong friends, an incredibly steep learning curve and the resilience to eventually take the leap and co-found Leap.club.”
In 2020, she co-founded Leap.club, a professional network aimed at empowering women. She described the venture as something that “gave me purpose, an identity and I can proudly say, changed lives for thousands of women.” Earlier this year, Leap.club paused operations, giving her time to focus on personal projects, travel and her pet dog, Jimmy.
The Google opportunity came in August and she felt an instant connection. “The role sat at the intersection of 0–10, founders and everything I’ve built over the years. It kinda felt like destiny iykwim,” she shared. In her new role, Das will support early-stage startups by connecting founders to essential resources, networks and mentorship. “We’re on a mission to support thriving startups around the world by connecting them to the right people, products and best practices to help them grow,” she added.
