Wife Seeks Divorce After Husband Breaks ‘Goa Honeymoon’ Promise; Takes Her To Ayodhya Instead

Finding true love and ending up happily married to that same ‘true love’, might be a hard enough goal for many to achieve. But the hardest part still comes after- maintaining the marriage. Maintaining a happy married life requires a lot- from efforts to promises- it's vital for one to fully commit if enjoying a long and happy married life is the goal. Perhaps that is the reason why this man is reportedly about to lose his wife after he broke an ‘important’ promise. 

A man from Madhya Pradesh went viral after he, along with his ‘angry’ wife, ended up for a couple's counselling in the Bhopal Court due to a ‘broken promise’. The promise in question was about visiting Goa for the duo’s honeymoon, however, the plan was later abruptly changed at the last minute, about which the wife had no idea. As per the media reports, the said woman was promised a Goa honeymoon, but her husband reportedly took her to Ayodhya and Varanasi instead. What was further triggering for the wife was that the husband only informed the wife about the change just a day before the Ayodhya trip. 

Irked over the matter, the woman, just five months into their marriage, sought a divorce. Now, the couple is reportedly being counselled by advocate Shail Awasthi at a family court in Bhopal. “This was the main crux of her petition. She was angry over being taken to Ayodhya instead of Goa. I am counselling the couple currently,” Awasthi was quoted as saying to the Indian Express. 

According to the women's petition, the plan for Goa was already a downgrade from the original trip that the woman wanted; a honeymoon trip out of India. The petition also stated that the couple was financially stable and could have easily afforded an overseas trip. However, the husband refused with the pretext of wanting to take care of his parents.

The advocate further informed the media outlet that the reason why the husband reportedly changed the destination was due to his mother wanting to visit the city before the Ram Mandir ceremony.
