Viral Video: Leave it to an Indian family when it comes to enjoying some home-cooked meal no matter what the situation. From trains, planes, and picnics to beaches, hikes, and whatnot, an Indian family knows how to pack a tiffin full of parathas, daal, rice, roti, and even an achaar for almost any place possible. In fact, if technology was advanced enough and if families could, they would have packed homemade meals for space journeys as well. Kidding, but you get the point. But still, if you still have your doubts, take a look at this viral clip which proved the same point in the most 'Bharatiya' way possible.
A video of a family enjoying a 3-course meal while travelling inside a train surfaced online, and left people reacting to it in all kinds of ways. The family had everything- disposable plates, spoons, rice, daal, roti. They even carried tiny boxes, probably filled with something like salt or pickles. In the video, the family members were quietly enjoying their meal as if they were in their house and not on public transport.
As soon as the video went viral, it left people divided as some loved the ‘Indiness’ of the clip, while some credited such acts for a mess in public places.
The video was shared on social media platform Instagram, by the handle ‘ROHAN RAJPUT’. The post was captioned, “Trust me the food we have in train tastes good with all the members of the family. The most important thing is we pack the 3-course meal for our train journey.”

The clip was heavily doing rounds on social media, as people were left divided on the internet. Most loved the idea of enjoying homemade food even during a journey, while some opposed the idea and recalled instances where people made a mess after their meals on public transports.

Taking to the comment box, people shared their take. “Why home food on the train always tastes better,” a user said. “The problem is some of them make the area so dirty and no concern for cleaning,” commented a second user. “That is the reason I prefer train journeys for only overnight travel. these people even fill the dustbin after having food. why can't people even adjust for a single day,” added a third person. “Not Indian specifically Gujjus with all the preparation,” joined a fourth user.
“I don't know why people are complaining I've seen Gujaratis they even gave me food out of their will and usually they don't dirty the place. It's very rare and it's most probably not a Gujarati. It's at least better than eating processed food,” sided a fifth person.
