Dehradun-Haridwar Highway Viral Video: What started as a normal day on the busy Dehradun-Haridwar highway quickly turned into a scene of chaos when a massive wild elephant appeared near the toll plaza. Commuters were left shocked and scared as the animal marched towards the vehicles waiting in line. A video of the incident, now going viral on social media, shows the elephant making its way through the road, seemingly trying to cross to the other side. But things took a dangerous turn when it approached a car stuck at the toll lane.
Using its trunk, the elephant struck the vehicle, causing visible damage. The driver, thinking quickly, sped away just in time, escaping without injury. Locals say this isn’t a rare sight. According to officials, elephants have been seen roaming near the toll plaza almost daily, raising concerns for both drivers and the animals. Such close encounters not only put human lives at risk but also highlight the shrinking safe spaces for wildlife.
The incident has sparked a wave of reactions online. One clip, shared on X by the handle GharKeKalesh, has already been viewed over 1.3 lakh times. While some viewers expressed awe at the animal’s power, many demanded urgent safety measures to prevent another such close call.
