As the video gained traction across social media, the Police Commissionerate Kanpur Nagar shared an update on X (formerly Twitter), addressing the incident. “A video going viral on social media in which a man is being beaten up by a woman alleging molestation is of 25.02.2025, cognizance was taken by the local police, the name of the person seen in the video is Adnan son of late Abdul Mabud resident of Bajaria police station, the family members of the accused were talked to, who told that Adnan's mental condition is not normal, he is undergoing treatment. The accused has been caught by the police, byte given by Assistant Police Commissioner Anwarganj regarding the investigation and necessary action.”

The widely shared video was posted on X by the user ‘Ghar Ke Kalesh’ with the caption, “This guy got caught harassing women, later he got thrashed by a brave lady.” Within just a few hours, the clip garnered over 11k views from social media users.
