Viral Video: From free electricity to affordable public health facilities, many state governments, in recent years, have provided certain provisions to their citizens with the aim to further their benefits. Among all these, free-of-cost bus rides for women have also been observed in multiple states. However, the same facility turned into a nightmare for many after a few incidents came forward of women creating chaos for the free seats. Joining the bandwagon, a video of two women fighting with each other for a free seat went viral on social media and gained all kinds of reactions from the netizens.

Although the date and location of the incident were not confirmed, according to the viral post’s caption, the incident took place on a Karnataka government bus. The video was shared on the social media site X (formerly Twitter) by the handle ‘Ghar ke kalesh’. The post was captioned, “Kalesh b/w Woman inside Karnataka Government bus over free seat.”

The video went viral as soon it was shared on the internet. Most people found the incident hilarious and cracked jokes about the fight, while others compared it with the Delhi metro fights. Many others found the incident a result of ‘free seats’ and its ‘misuse’ by people. The video was shared today and has been viewed 24K times by netizens so far.

Taking to the comment box, netizens shared their take. “Free seat k liye bhi lad rhe hai.... Ticket liye hote tb kya krte (They are fighting for a free seat, but what would they have done if they had bought a ticket),” asked a person. “Ese lad rhe hai jese seat hi khareed li (They are fighting as if they bought the seat),” said the next person. “This will be my Alarm ringtone,” joined a third person. “Bus free seats have more competition than medical seats,” wrote a fourth user.

“Free ticket, free seat, and free entertainment,” said a fifth netizen. “Why is it always a metro or a bus when people begin to fight for some of the most petty reasons?” asked a sixth person.
