The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued a ‘high-importance’ warning about the counterfeit notes. It highlights the similarities to the real ones.
Although there are ways to identify counterfeit notes by checking their print and quality, these fake Rs 500 notes highly resemble the real ones.
As per News18, the counterfeit notes are of high quality but possess a common spelling error. The ‘E’ in ‘RESERVE’ is mistakenly replaced with ‘A’.
Though it is difficult to notice the minor error in a fast-paced transaction, it can save you from a significant loss.
