Two cups of water, a stick of cinnamon, two green cardamom pods, two cloves, crushed ginger, two tablespoons of black tea granules or leaves, one-fourth cup of milk, and two to three teaspoons of raw sugar.
In a mortar and pestle, crush the cinnamon stick, green cardamom pods, cloves, and ginger.
In a saucepan, heat the water and add the crushed spices. Let it boil for two to three minutes.
Next, add the black tea granules and adjust the sugar to your preference. Continue boiling for an additional two minutes.
Add the milk and allow it to come to a boil. Then, reduce the heat and simmer for two minutes.
Finally, strain the chai into cups and savour it while hot.
