According to the Economic Times, the internet was flooded with fake videos about Operation Sindoor. Popular hashtags, like #Operation Sindoor, garnered around eight million posts.
Many videos were circulated on social media claiming visuals of India’s air strike against Pakistan. An old video of the Indian Air Force Mirage 2000 was shown as an Indian fighter jet shot down in Pakistan.
After India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7th, 2025, Pakistan claimed that 26 civilians were killed and 46 were wounded. India denied the claim. But videos are circulating on the internet reporting casualties.
The internet is constantly being flooded with fake information that can be dangerous. We need to consume news and information only from trusted sources. Avoid relying on unverified sources.
