Shehzadi, a woman from Uttar Pradesh, India, has become the centre of a controversial case in the UAE. Accused of the tragic murder of an infant, Shehzadi is now facing the possibility of execution. The case has drawn significant attention, with her scheduled execution initially reported to take place within 24 hours. However, new developments have emerged, as the Indian Embassy confirms a review petition has been filed, and the matter is still under consideration.

Shahzadi had been employed as a caretaker for a couple’s child in Abu Dhabi when tragedy struck. The infant suddenly died, and the couple accused Shahzadi of being responsible for the child’s death. Following an investigation, she was arrested and later sentenced to death by an Abu Dhabi court.

Her father, Shabbir Khan, has made multiple appeals to Indian authorities and the government to intervene and save his daughter. He insists that Shahzadi is innocent and was wrongfully accused. The 29-year-old woman has spent a significant time in Abu Dhabi’s jail, awaiting her execution for the alleged murder of a four-month-old child.

Shahzadi’s Journey To Dubai

Shahzadi’s father recounted her difficult life, revealing that she had suffered severe facial burns as a child. During the COVID-19 lockdown, she was working with ‘Roti Bank of Banda’. During this period, she became friends with a man named Uzair from Agra through Facebook.

In November 2021, Uzair sent Shahzadi to Dubai, purportedly for medical treatment. Once in Dubai, she came into contact with Uzair’s relatives, including his uncle Faiz and aunt Nazia, along with Nazia’s mother-in-law, Anjum Sahana Begum.

According to Shabbir, Nazia gave birth to a son, who tragically passed away at four months and 21 days old. Shahzadi was subsequently accused of causing the child’s death and was arrested. Shabbir claims his daughter has been falsely implicated in the case.

Family’s Desperate Plea

On February 16, Shahzadi’s family received a distressing call from Dubai. She informed them that she was being kept in isolation and had been told by the jail captain that her execution could take place anytime after September 20. When asked about her final wish, she simply requested to speak with her family.

In her phone call, Shahzadi tearfully told her father, “Papa, this is my last call. Please forgive me, I couldn’t do anything for you.”

Following this heart-wrenching conversation, her devastated parents have issued desperate pleas to the Indian government and President, hoping for a last-minute intervention to save their daughter’s life.
