Amid the ongoing controversy over the global tariffs, a recent poll suggests that most of the Americans are unhappy with the US President Donald Trump's policies. As per the ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos poll conducted via Ipsos’ KnowledgePanel, the citizens were not satisfied with Trump's decisions, especially related to the key issues, including inflation, jobs, and relations with other nations. While the US president still remains popular in comparison to his rival Democrats, Trump's popularity has declined in the past few months.

As per the poll that was conducted ahead of the US Supreme Court's ruling on global tariffs, about two out of three Americans were not satisfied with how Trump has dealt with the rising inflation. While 62 per cent of the citizens expressed dissatisfaction with the current government's foreign policies, around 60 per cent criticised Trump's higher tariffs on the goods of other nations.

The poll also suggested that 58 per cent of the Americans did not approve the way immigration is being tackled, especially in the major cities. Apart fro this, 57 per cent of the participants were unhappy with Trump's policies for the overall economy. While the Americans disapproved Trump's policies in the polls, they also did not show faith in the Democrats.

When asked about which party can deal with the complex issues better, 33 per cent of the participators endorsed Trump. While 31 per cent of the Americans chose Democrats, 31 per cent chose "neither" option, showing lack of options in the US politics. The poll asserted that even the Republicans were divided while endorsing the policies of the current administration.

The strong supporters of the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement mostly showed confidence in Trump's policies. However, those who did not endorse MAGA criticised the current government, especially on the issues, including inflation and immigration.
