Australia: In a bizarre incident in Sydney, Australia, a customer reportedly refused to settle the bill in a restaurant after planting hair in his own meal. Pony Dining in The Rocks, the restaurant, shared CCTV footage on Facebook in which the customer is complaining about the hair about planting it. The restaurant asserted that the video was shared to alert other hospitality businesses, which staff described as a suspicious complaint. While reacting to the video, the netizens described the incident as "unacceptable" and "unfair".

In the video shared by the restaurant, the man, wearing a white shirt and beige trousers, was seen reaching under his arms. He was later seen pulling out strands of hair and dropping them onto his plate before complaining and refusing to pay. While sharing the video, the restaurant stated that the issue has been formally reported, adding that the video was shared for awareness.

"We don’t usually share content like this. This footage shows an incident that occurred in our venue. After the meal was served, the guest later raised a complaint regarding hair in their meal and declined payment. The matter has been formally reported. This video is shared to raise awareness for fellow hospitality venues," the restaurant said in its post.

The restaurant stated that the group had ordered expensive items, including dry-aged steaks and a tomahawk cut. However, they refused to pay the bills after the man raised the issue and left the restaurant. "We served them a wonderful dinner. Everything was very clean, they had a beautiful table. We decided to check the CCTV after we noticed they were acting very weird," the manager said.

While reacting to the video, the netizens slammed the customer for leaving the restaurant without paying the bill. "The audacity is unreal. Thanks for looking out for the industry," one of the social media users stated. "I am disgusted this happened. It’s unfair and unacceptable," he added.
