Baltimore Bridge Collapse: Days after a cargo ship smashed into Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge that led to a catastrophic collapse, divers have successfully recovered the remains of two out of the six missing workers. The bodies were recovered from a red pickup truck submerged in the Patapsco River.
Following the incident, six of the eight-man construction crew are believed to have been killed, with four bodies yet to be found. These six workers reportedly came from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. Out of the eight workers, two were pulled out from the water alive by the rescuers on Tuesday, and one was hospitalized.

According to news agency Reuters, the two men whose bodies were recovered on Wednesday (local time) were identified as 35-year-old Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes, a Mexican native from Baltimore, and 26-year-old Dorlian Ronial Castillo Cabrera.
According to Maryland State Police Colonel Roland Butler, the bodies of two workers were recovered in a red pickup truck in approximately 25 feet (7.62 m) of water near the mid-section of the fallen bridge.
Butler further emphasised that the authorities have stopped efforts to recover further remains from the wreckage-strewn river due to dangerous conditions.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden promised to visit Baltimore shortly and wanted the federal government to pay for the restoration of the bridge. During the 2007 bridge collapse in Minnesota, Congress allocated USD 250 million. Biden also praised local authorities for their swift action following the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, one of the nation's busiest arteries.
"Personnel on board the ship were able to alert the Maryland Department of Transportation that they had lost control of their vessel, as you all know and have reported. As a result, local authorities were able to close the bridge to traffic before the bridge was struck, which undoubtedly saved lives,” Biden said during his address.
