Hundreds of Hindu families have left for the border, but are unable to cross the Bangladesh border because it is sealed. In other places, too, capable Hindu families are preparing to leave the country. According to a report by the Dhaka Tribune, at least 29 bodies including 20 of leaders from Sheikh Hasina's party Awami League, have been recovered in the country. The deceased also include the family members of the party leaders. 

Several Hindu temples, households and businesses were vandalised, women were assaulted and at least two Hindu leaders affiliated with the Awami League party killed in violence in Bangladesh following the ouster of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, community leaders claimed on Tuesday.

Violence continued in Bangladesh even a day after Hasina left the country after massive protests against her government over quotas in government jobs. The clashes that continued overnight on Tuesday have led to a total of over 400 being killed since mid-July. The districts where religious minorities and their households or businesses were attacked are north-eastern Panchagarh, Dinajpur, Rangpur, Bogura and Sirajganj; northern Sherpur and Kishoreganj; western Jashore, Magura and Narail, south-western Khulna, Patuakhali and Satkhira; central Narsingdi, Mymensingh and Tangail; north-western Lakkhipur, Feni and Chattogram, and north-eastern Habiganj.

Bangladesh Unrest: Hindus Are Very Afraid: Bangladesh ISKCON Gen Secretary Seeks India's Help

Amid the chaos and unrest in Dhaka and other parts of the neighbouring country, the General Secretary of ISKCON Bangladesh, Charu Chandra Das Brahmachari, on Tuesday raised concern over the issue and appealed the Indian government to come to their rescue.

"The situation was bad yesterday... we were afraid that temples and Hindus in Bangladesh will be attacked anytime," he said.

"Hindus are very afraid that they will be attacked anytime. This is because whenever the government falls, minorities are affected. This happens every time," he told IANS.

Bangladesh Unrest: Global Reaction Over Situation Of Hindus In Country

Israeli Ambassador to India, Naor Gilon raised concerns on the reports of atrocities against minorities including Hindus and their temples in Bangladesh amid intensifying protests and unrest in the country.

"I'm troubled by the reports of atrocities against minorities, including Hindus, and against their temples in Bangaladesh," Gilon said in a post on X.

Dutch politician Geert Wilders has condemned the recent violence against Hindus in Bangladesh, describing it as "horrific" and calling for an immediate end to the attacks.

The violence has led to multiple deaths and the destruction of homes and temples of Hindus.

Bangladesh Unrest: Air India, Indigo, Vistara To Operate Special Flight To Bring Back People From Country

Air India, Vistara, and IndiGo will operate scheduled flights to Dhaka on Wednesday. A special flight to bring back people from the Bangladesh capital is also expected to be operated.

Earlier on Tuesday too, Air India operated its evening flight to Dhaka. It had cancelled the morning flight to the city.

Bangladesh Unrest: Houses Of Hindu Families Attacked

Awami League leader and Deputy Member of the Trans and Social Welfare Committee Ajay Kumar Sarkar said that of the total 64 districts of Bangladesh, 21 districts have Hindu population. Recalling the time when he first came to the country, he stated that in 1986, he and the other children of his village used to go 10 km away from the village to see the Muslim population, because most of the area was owned by Hindus. Today only a few houses are left. This time even these houses will not be saved.

In Dupchachiya, Adomdighi, the houses of Hindu families have been attacked since the night before yesterday.

Bangladesh Unrest: People Demolishing Own Houses To Save Themselves

Dr Subrata Ghosh of Satkhira, who saved his life by running away from his house during the attack, said, "I am not able to go home because the rioters can reach anytime. The situation in our area is such that to save their business or house, people are themselves setting it on fire and circulating the video so that the rioters do not reach their house. Because if they reach their house, it may be difficult to save their family and women.
