Batik Air spokesperson responds
Batik Air spokesperson Danang Mandala Prihantoro explained that a sudden crosswind hit the aircraft during its approach, but the crew followed safety protocols, landing the plane safely. Meteorologists attribute the gust to a powerful storm system over Greater Jakarta, noting that climate change is increasing the frequency of such extreme weather, posing risks to aviation.

Close call at Russian airport
No passengers were harmed, and engineers confirmed the aircraft sustained no damage after a thorough inspection. Aviation experts stress the need for enhanced pilot training for crosswind landings and advanced wind-shear detection systems at airports to avoid such close calls. The video has shocked viewers online, with many calling it “one of the most terrifying flight videos” ever seen.
