Israel-Palestine War: Israel on Friday called for all civilians of Gaza City, more than 1 million people, to relocate south within 24 hours, as it amassed tanks near the Gaza Strip ahead of an expected ground invasion. The United Nations said it considered it impossible for such a movement to take place "without devastating humanitarian consequences."

"The United Nations strongly appeals for any such order, if confirmed, to be rescinded avoiding what could transform what is already a tragedy into a calamitous situation," U.N. spokesman Stephane Dujarric said in a statement.

According to the Israeli military, there have been more than 6,000 airstrikes on the Hamas-controlled enclave in the last six days. Israel has vowed to annihilate the Hamas militant group which led the attacks on Saturday.

Meanwhile, a flight carrying the first batch of 212 Indians, who were stranded in Israel amid the ongoing war, landed in New Delhi under 'Operation Ajay' on Friday morning. On the occasion, Indian Ambassador to Israel, Sanjeev Singla said that the Indian Embassy in Israel is working to ensure the well-being of Indian nationals in war-torn Israel and informed that under "Operation Ajay" the embassy will help Indians who want to return to India.
