French Firm Dassault Aviation on Tuesday denied reports that claimed its Chairman & CEO, Eric Trappier, acknowledged the loss of one Rafale jet of the Indian Air Force (IAF) during Operation Sindoor.

In a statement, the French Aviation firm said, "In response to certain press reports quoting Dassault Aviation Chairman & CEO, Eric Trappier, about the Sindoor operation, Dassault Aviation formally denies that Eric Trappier has made any operational or technical comments regarding the use of the Rafale in this operation."

Earlier, a French portal, Avion De Chasse, reported that Trappier said one Rafale was lost due to a high-altitude technical failure and not in a combat scenario. The report also claimed that Trappier said the probe into the technical failure was underway.
