US President Donald Trump again praised Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni by calling her "a beautiful young woman.” Meloni, who was the only female leader among the 30 world leaders on the stage during the peace summit in Egypt, was seen blushing when the US President praised her beauty publically.
“We have a woman, a young woman who’s… I’m not allowed to say it…she’s a beautiful young woman,” Trump said. The US President noted the brutal reality of American politics, where a leader can ruin their own political career if they praise any woman.
I’ll take my chances: Trump
Trump said he will take a daring challange of calling Meloni- a beautiful woman. “If you use the word ‘beautiful’ in the US about a woman, that’s the end of your political career, but I’ll take my chances,” Trump said after the signing of "The Trump Declaration for Enduring Peace and Prosperity," for Gaza.

The 79-year-old president, who has been married three times, acknowledged that his remarks about the far-right Italian prime minister —standing just behind him onstage—might draw charges of sexism.
Swiveling to face the 48-year-old leader, Trump remarked, "You don't mind being called beautiful, right? Because you are."Cameras couldn't capture Meloni's response, obscured as it was by Trump's frame.
"People in Italy truly admire her"
Trump continued praising Meloni, a like-minded figure on matters of immigration and cultural policy, describing her as "incredible." "People in Italy truly admire her—she's a highly effective leader," he continued.

Notably, this was not the first time that Trump faced backlash over comments perceived as sexist. Last September, a federal appeals court affirmed a jury verdict imposing an $83.3 million fine on Trump for defaming E. Jean Carroll, the writer he was determined to have sexually abused.
