US President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to both Israel and Hamas as indirect peace talks resume in Egypt aimed at ending the two-year-long conflict in Gaza. Posting on Truth Social on Sunday night, Trump described the discussions as “very positive” and “very successful, and proceeding rapidly,” but stressed urgency.
“I am asking everyone to MOVE FAST,” Trump wrote. “TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE OR, MASSIVE BLOODSHED WILL FOLLOW — SOMETHING THAT NOBODY WANTS TO SEE.”

There have been very positive discussions with Hamas, and Countries from all over the World (Arab, Muslim, and everyone else) this weekend, to release the Hostages, end the War in Gaza but, more importantly, finally have…
Trump indicated that Hamas has shown a willingness to pursue “lasting PEACE” after submitting a response to the US-backed peace plan. He also urged Israel to “immediately stop the bombing of Gaza, so that we can get the Hostages out safely and quickly.”

Key Players In Gaza Peace Talks
The US, Israel, and Hamas are set to hold indirect talks in Egypt. Israel’s delegation will be led by Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer. Hamas’s team is headed by Khalil al-Hayya, who survived a targeted Israeli airstrike in Doha last month that killed five Hamas members and a Qatari security official. Qatar, acting as a mediator, will be represented by Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
Gaza Peace Plan
Trump’s plan focuses on three main points: the disarmament of Hamas, the release of all living and deceased Israeli hostages, and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza. According to the plan, all hostages will be returned within 72 hours of Israel publicly agreeing to the deal. Palestinians in Gaza will be allowed to remain, and the region is slated for redevelopment to benefit the local population.
Amid ongoing diplomatic efforts, violence continues in Gaza. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) reported striking a “number” of targets in Gaza City over the past 24 hours, including an armed squad, resulting in at least 24 Palestinian deaths, according to Gaza’s Civil Defence Agency. Hours after Trump’s warning, Israel conducted additional strikes, killing six more individuals.

While Trump emphasises urgency and the potential for a ceasefire, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to disarm Hamas “either the easy or the hard way” and signalled that Israel will not fully withdraw from Gaza, a key demand of Hamas. The plan’s second phase envisions Gaza’s demilitarisation, either through diplomatic means under Trump’s guidance or by military intervention if necessary.
