Israel-Hamas War: Amid an ongoing ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, the Israeli Military on Tuesday asserted that the hostages, who had been freed by the militant group had been made to smile and wave at gunpoint. This comes after some of the videos of Israeli hostages were circulating online, showing them happily saying goodbye to Palestinian militants after being held captive in Gaza for 50 days.
Taking to social media platform X, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shared a one-minute-long video with the title "Don’t let Hamas fool you."

"Why are you choosing to see only one side of the story? You see terrorists wave goodbye to the hostages. But those same terrorists murdered killed their loved ones and violently kidnapped them from their homes," IDF said.

"You see terrorists help them into the Red Cross van, but those same terrorists are responsible for their limping and malnourishment. You see terrorists cooperate in releasing hostages, but those same terrorists force their captives to wave and smile at gunpoint," it added.
Israel-Hamas War: Truce In Gaza Extended For Two Days
On Monday, Israel and Hamas agreed to extend their ceasefire for two more days raising the possibility of additional hostage exchanges between terrorist groups and Israel. Since the militant group Hamas launched an unprecedented attack in southern Israel on October 7, some 240 hostages were captured by Hamas.
The deal for the additional two days ceasfie was announced by Qatar which raised hopes fro further extensions that would also permit more aid to enter Gaza.
According to the Health Ministry in Gaza, which is governed by Hamas, over 13,300 Palestinians have died since the begining of the conflict; around two-thirds of them were women and children. On the Israeli side, around 1,200 people have died, the most of them were civilians murdered in the initial attack. Israeli forces have lost at least 77 soldiers in their ground attack.
