Hours after Brazilian Supreme Court judge Alexandre de Moraes issued a stern warning to Elon Musk on Wednesday, stating that his social media platform X, could be permanently banned in Brazil if a legal representative is not appointed within 24 hours, Musk started posting derogatory posts on X targeting Judge de Moraes.
Musk posted an insulting message on X, featuring an AI-generated image of Judge de Moraes in jail. The post included a caption that read, "One day, Alexandre, this picture of you in prison will be real. Mark my words."

Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes on Wednesday ordered that failure to comply could result in the suspension of X's operations in the country.
Earlier this month, X announced its decision to close its operations and lay off its staff in Brazil, citing what it described as "censorship orders" from Justice de Moraes. Despite this, the platform stated that its services would remain accessible to users in Brazil.
In a notable move, the Supreme Court posted a screenshot of Wednesday's court decision on its own X account, tagging both Musk's personal account and X's Global Government Affairs account, highlighting the seriousness of the situation.
In his decision, Justice Alexandre de Moraes cited Brazil's internet regulation laws, which stipulate that companies failing to comply with Brazilian legislation or maintain the confidentiality of private information could face temporary suspension of their activities. This legal framework underpins the court's authority to enforce compliance and address potential violations by platforms like X.
The top court emphasised that failure to comply could lead to the suspension of X's operations in the country.
