Epstein Files: The horrific details of the Epstein files, related to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, have sent a shockwave across the world. The documents released by the Department of Justice (DOJ) in the United States have revealed that several prominent personalities were linked to Epstein. While just the mention of their names does not confirm any wrongdoing, the details have shocked the world. The documents have also led to the resignation of some high-profile personalities across the world.

Morgan McSweeney: While taking full responsibility for the appointment of Peter Mandelson as Britain's envoy to Washington, McSweeney, Chief of Staff to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, resigned from his post on February 8. A huge uproar erupted after the files revealed that Mandelson had provided crucial details to the US during 2008.

"The decision to appoint Peter Mandelson was wrong. He has damaged our party, our country, and trust in politics itself. When asked, I advised the Prime Minister to make that appointment, and I take full responsibility for that advice," he asserted.

Brad Karp resigned from the post of the Wall Street law firm Paul, Weiss after the files revealed that he was in touch with the sex offender. As per Reuters, Karp had sought Epstein's help in securing work for his son. During his resignation, Karp clarified that he regretted his interactions with Epstein, adding that he did not participate in any illegal activities.

As per Expressen, Joanna Rubinstein resigned from the post of the president of the Swedish United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. She resigned after the files revealed that Rubinstein had visited the private island back in 2012.

Miroslav Lajcak resigned from the post of Slovakia's National Security Adviser after the documents revealed that he contacted Epstein about women and diplomacy in 2017-18. While he assured that he did not participate in any illegal activities, he resigned to avoid political repercussions.
