Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, two Indian businessmen have set a new example for humanity in Dubai. Yogesh Doshi, chairman of the Al Mizan Group, has opened his entire 64-unit residential building to help hundreds of Indian citizens stranded by the disruption of air services. The initiative, which is in coordination with the Indian Consulate, is providing accommodation free of charge to Indian nationals and includes basic amenities, such as meals.
As per the report, Yogesh Doshi said that this initiative is being run in coordination with the Indian People's Forum UAE and the Indian Consulate in Dubai. So far, more than 125 Indians, including families with children, have been provided with temporary shelter.Several Indian nationals said that they are having a hard time as their hotel bookings have expired and it is not possible to extend it further.
No Travel Options
"We were in a very difficult situation. Our hotel stay had ended and we had to leave, but there were no clear travel options. That's when we came to know about this accommodation and it brought us great relief. In this difficult situation, this facility provided us with a safe place to stay during uncertain times,” an Indian national stranded in Dubai said, as quoted by the report.
Farmhouse Turned Into Temporary Residence By UAE Businessman
An Indian businessman in the United Arab Emirates has turned his farmhouse into a shelter. A few kilometres from Dubai, businessman Dheeraj Jain has also opened a shelter. Dheeraj Jain has converted his large farmhouse into temporary housing for those who cannot immediately return home.
Travellers who lacked money or accommodation were provided free accommodation and food at the shelter. The businessman has also deployed 11 cars, including six Rolls-Royce vehicles, to pick up stranded travellers from different locations and escort them to the farmhouse.
