Hong Kong Airport Crash: An Emirates cargo plane arriving from Dubai skidded off the runway and crashed into the sea while attempting to land at Hong Kong Airport on Monday morning, killing two people. Local media reported that the Boeing 747 lost control during landing, leading to the fatal accident.

How Did Hong Kong Airport Crash Happen?

The accident was so devastating that the plane broke in half and fell into the sea. There were four people on board at the time of the accident. According to information provided by Hong Kong Airport, two people were rescued.

Hong Kong Airport's north runway has been closed following the accident. However, the south and central runways remain operational.

The accident occurred in the early hours, around 3:50 am. Emirates issued a statement saying, "Flight EK9788 crashed on Monday while landing in Hong Kong. It was a Boeing 747 cargo aircraft. The crew is safe and there was no cargo on board."

Hong Kong Airport Crash To Be Investigated

The Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department said the accident has been reported to the Hong Kong Air Accident Investigation Agency, which will investigate the incident and try to determine its cause.
