Israel-Hamas War:  A 27-year-old Israeli woman, whom Hamas abducted during the October 7 attack at the Supernova music festival, has been officially declared dead by the Missing Persons Families Forum of the country, along with confirmation from several hostages who witnessed her death during captivity. Inbar Haiman was reportedly murdered while in captivity.

Working as a volunteer in the music festival, Inbar, was among the first hundreds of hostages taken by Hamas in the deadly attack. According to a report published in the Times of Israel, Inbar’s body is still untraceable and believed to be in the Gaza Strip. Her cause of death has not been revealed, however, the report termed the death as unnatural.

Inbar, an art student, attempted to flee but was captured by a Hamas operative, while her two friends managed to escape. A later-released video showed two Hamas operatives dragging her on motorbikes. Inbar is survived by her parents, brother, and partner Noam Alon, who had previously appealed for her release, asking for humane treatment and necessities for the hostages.

"All I'm asking is for them to be as kind as possible and keep her alive - not expecting too much - just for them to be human, and for them to give the hostages food and water and medical [attention]," he had told The Messenger

"That should be the most important thing for the Israeli army and the Israeli government - putting the hostages at the top of their priorities. The hostages should come before any military operation; before any ground invasion," he told the Guardian.

During that period, Noam said that he hoped both the Israeli and UK governments would make every effort to rescue the hostages.

"I truly believe she will return to us. But we must do everything we can to ensure she does,” he added.
