An Indian among two student pilots was killed when their single-engine planes crashed in midair in Canada's Manitoba province. The incident was reported on Tuesday (local time). Crash happened during landing: Pilot training school

According to Adam Penner, president of Harv's Air pilot training school, the pilots were practising takeoffs and landings in small Cessna planes when they apparently attempted to land simultaneously, resulting in a collision a few hundred yards from the runway. Despite being equipped with radios, the pilots seemingly failed to spot each other. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police confirmed the pilots' deaths at the scene, with no passengers on board, but withheld victim identities during an afternoon briefing, citing limited information.
