Ebrahim Raisi on Sunday said Israel’s unbridled Israeli strikes in besieged Gaza have crossed the red line and it may ‘force everyone to take action’. Taking to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Raisi said, “Zionist regime’s crimes have crossed the red lines, which may force everyone to take action,” he said.

He also accused the United States that it was extensively supporting Jerusalem. “Washington asks us not to do anything, but they keep giving widespread support to Israel. The US sent messages to the Axis of Resistance but received a clear response on the battlefield,” he added.

The reaction of Iran came after Israel launched a massive counteroffensive against Hamas while responding to the latter’s October 7 missile attack on Israel.

Israel attacked several terrorist establishments in Gaza as the IDF launched a massive ground invasion of Palestinian territory. The Palestinian death toll has passed 7,700 since the IDF launched its operation, according to the Health Ministry in Gaza.

Israel has been repeatedly claiming that Iran was helping the militant movement Hamas in its operation against them.

Meanwhile, Arab leaders made a joint plea for a ceasefire and allow humanitarian aid into Gaza. The European Union has also called for ‘humanitarian corridors and pauses’ in the war. The Palestinian ambassador to the UN pleaded to ‘stop the bombs and save lives’, however, Israel reiterated its vow to ‘not rest until Hamas is obliterated’.

Israel claimed over 1,400 civilians died when Hamas launched a surprise attack on them on October 7. Moreover, the militants rampaged through Israeli cities and abducted over 222 people. It was only then that Israel vowed to avenge and not stop its operation until Hamas was destroyed.
