Iran flight Cancellation: All flights in Iran will remain suspended until Thursday at 5 AM local time (12:30 AM GMT) amid the tense situation in the country. The announcement about the flight suspension by the country's Civil Aviation Organisation comes a day after Tehran fired missiles at Israel.

Earlier in the day, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu warned Iran, saying "it made a big mistake" striking the missiles. "Iran made a big mistake tonight - and it will pay for it. The regime in Iran does not understand our determination to defend ourselves and our determination to retaliate against our enemies," Netanyahu said on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, amid the tense situation, Iran said on Wednesday its missile attack on Israel, its biggest military assault on the country, was over, barring further provocation, while Israel and the United States promised to hit back as fears of a wider war intensified.

According to Israeli officials cited by US news website Axios, Israel will launch a "significant retaliation" within days that could target oil production facilities inside Iran and other strategic sites.

Israel renewed its bombardment of Beirut's southern suburbs, a stronghold of the Iran-backed group, with at least a dozen airstrikes against what it said were targets belonging to the group. Large plumes of smoke were seen rising from parts of the suburbs.

After days of intense strikes, Israel issued fresh instructions for the area's evacuation, which has largely taken place.

Hezbollah said it confronted Israeli forces infiltrating the Lebanese town of Adaisseh early on Wednesday and forced them to retreat.

Iran said that Israel's targets in the attack on Tuesday were only military installations. Three Israeli military bases were reportedly targeted, according to Iran's official news agency.
