Iran-Israel War: As the Middle East crisis continues, buildings in Dubai were rattled on Friday by loud explosions, followed by a thick plume of smoke rising over a central part of the city.

The Dubai Media Office confirmed that debris from an intercepted missile caused a "minor incident" on the exterior of a building in central Dubai. Officials confirmed that no injuries were reported.

In a post on X, the office clarified, "Authorities confirm that debris from a successful interception caused a minor incident on the facade of a building in central Dubai. No injuries have been reported."

Sirens were reportedly heard near Sheikh Zayed Road, the main thoroughfare of the United Arab Emirates city, according to AFP.

Earlier on Thursday, Dubai authorities had responded to a "minor drone incident" after an AFP correspondent reported hearing explosions in the downtown area.

"Dubai authorities are responding to a minor drone incident in the Al Bada’a area. No injuries have been reported," the Dubai government’s media office had shared on X.

Meanwhile, Local residents reported feeling their buildings shake and hearing a strong explosion.

The Gulf region has been a key target of Iranian attacks since the Middle East conflict began on February 28, with 24 casualties, including seven U.S. service members and 11 civilians.
