Iran has sharply criticised the Group of Seven (G7) for what it described as a “one-sided” stance in favour of Israel amid intensifying conflict. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei stated that the G7 ignored Israel’s “unprovoked aggression” while condemning Iran. He said, “The G7 must give up its one-sided rhetoric and tackle the real source of the escalation, Israel’s aggression.”
Baqaei defended Iran’s recent military actions, calling them necessary responses to Israeli attacks. “Does Iran really have any other choice?” he asked. He accused Israel of violating international law and the UN Charter by targeting public facilities and civilian homes in Iran, resulting in significant casualties and destruction.
