Iran has issued a chilling warning to the United States, saying that it would respond with massive force if tensions mount amid the ongoing ceasefire talks. Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has stated that his country is well prepared and that it has strengthened its capabilities amid the conflict to fight the US and Israel.

“We are fully prepared. If they make even the slightest mistake, we will respond with force," Ghalibaf said. “We are definitely a head and shoulders above the past in offensive capabilities and design in the third imposed war, and we saw this on the battlefield," he added.

Ghalibaf also admitted the American military being stronger than the Iranian Military. “We are not militarily stronger than America. It is clear that they have more money, equipment, and resources, and because they have carried out so many aggressions around the world, they also have more experience than us," he said.

Ghalibaf also termed Israel as “America’s servant and agent in the region”. “We fought in an asymmetric war in such a way that, with our own design and preparedness, we pushed the enemy back. The enemy had money and resources, but did not act correctly in design. They make mistakes in strategic decisions. They are wrong about our people, just as they are wrong in their military design," he said.

Trump Warns Iran Against 'Blackmail'

United States President Donald Trump on Saturday warned Iran against what he called attempts to “blackmail” Washington over the Strait of Hormuz. His warning came after Tehran moved again to restrict the strategic waterway, after briefly reopening it on Friday. Iran’s military command accused the US of breaking commitments by maintaining a naval blockade on ships linked to Iranian ports.

Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump said the US was in talks with Iran but rejected its actions, stating that “they can’t blackmail us” through repeated moves to close the strait. “We're talking to them. They wanted to close up the strait again…you know, as they've been doing for years and they can't blackmail us,” Trump said.
