Iran-US-Israel War: As the war between Iran and the joint forces of Israel and the US continued for the fifth day, Tehran launched a drone attack near the US Consulate in Dubai. The attack caused a fire near the consulate, leading to panic among the residents and tourists in Dubai. The visuals of the strike have been circulating on the social media platforms, showing the scale of the attack. While confirming the attack, the US assured that all the staff were safe after the deadly attack.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed the attack near the US Consulate in Dubai; however, he assured that all the staff were safe. "A drone unfortunately struck a parking lot adjacent to the chancellery building and then set off a fire in that place. All personnel are accounted for," Rubio told the reporters in Washington.

Apart from this, Dubai Media Office, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), asserted that emergency teams responded immediately, adding that the fire was contained. "Dubai authorities have confirmed that a fire resulting from a drone-related incident near the US Consulate has been successfully contained. Emergency teams responded immediately. No injuries have been reported," the Dubai Media Office said in its post.

'No Injuries Reported'

"The fire near the US Consulate in Dubai has been fully extinguished, with no injuries reported. Dubai authorities reaffirm their commitment to ensuring everyone's safety and security," the post added. It also shared photos of a mobile fire extinguisher van parked outside the consulate.

Earlier on Tuesday, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) general Ebrahim Jabbari asserted that Iran would attack "all economic centres" of the Middle East if the US attacks its main centres. "We are saying to the enemy that if it decides to hit our main centres, we will hit all economic centres in the region," Jabbari was quoted as saying by Iranian news agency ISNA.

"We have closed the Strait of Hormuz. Currently, the price of oil is above USD 80 and will soon reach USD 200," he added.
