Israel-Lebanon War:  The Israeli Air Force (IAF) has conducted a targeted strike, eliminating Muhammad Ali Ismail, the commander of Hezbollah's Missile Unit in southern Lebanon along with his deputy, Hussein Ahmad Ismail. Ali Ismail, who was responsible for directing multiple attacks against Israel, including recent rocket launches and a surface-to-surface missile strike, was killed in what officials describe as a "precise operation."

The strike follows the recent elimination of Ibrahim Muhammad Qabisi, head of Hezbollah's Missiles and Rockets Force, marking a series of targeted actions against senior figures within Hezbollah's military leadership.

"Muhammad Ali Ismail, the Commander of Hezbollah’s Missile Unit in southern Lebanon, and his deputy, Hussein Ahmad Ismail, were eliminated in a precise IAF strike," the Israeli Defence Forces shared on X on Saturday.

"Ali Ismail was responsible for directing numerous terrorist attacks against the State of Israel, including the firing of rockets toward Israeli territory and the launch of a surface-to-surface missile toward central Israel on Wednesday," IDF added.

The recent strike on Muhammad Ali Ismail and other Hezbollah leaders comes amid escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.

Just a day earlier, Hezbollah's leader, Hassan Nasrallah, was reportedly targeted by an Israeli airstrike in the southern suburbs of Beirut, according to Axios. The Israeli military is still investigating whether Nasrallah was affected by the attack, which hit what Israel claims to be Hezbollah's main military headquarters. This marks one of the most extensive airstrikes on Beirut since the conflict intensified nearly a year ago.
