Israel-Palestine War: The ongoing armed conflict between Israel and Palestinian militant outfit Hamas, which started with the latter's onlaught on the Israeli territory on October 7, completed 10 days on Tuesday. Hamas confirmed the total number of israeli and non-Israeli hostages who were being held captive by it and other 'resistance factions'.

Latest Updates From Israel-Palestine Conflict:
1. US President Joe Biden will visit Israel on Wednesday, American Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed. "The president will hear from Israel what it needs to defend its people as we continue to work with Congress to meet those needs," Blinken stated.
2. The US President will also "hear from Israel how it will conduct its operations in a way that minimises civilian casualties and enables humanitarian assistance to flow to civilians in Gaza in a way that does not benefit Hamas", Blinken added.

3. After his visit to Israel, Biden will travel to Jordan to meet King Abdullah, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, US national security spokesperson John Kirby informed.
4. On Monday, Hamas confirmed it was holding captive 200 people abducted from Israel, including non-Israelis in Gaza. It added that 50 other hostages were in the possession of other Palestinian "resistance factions".
5. A top Hamas leader said the group "has what it needs" to free all Palestinians in Israel's jails, indicating the militant group may try to use the Israelis it kidnapped as bargaining chips to secure the release of Palestinian prisoners.
6. The group also released the first footage of a hostage in its custody. The captive identified herself as 21-year-old Mia Schem. The video showed Mia receiving treatment for an injury above her right elbow.

7. Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Monday night warned that "any preemptive measure" by Palestinian resistance leaders against Israel is "possible in the coming hours" and said that Israel will not be allowed to take any action it wants in the region, Iranian news agency IRNA reported.
8. The Israeli Air Force said that it has struck "terror targets and military infrastructure" of Hezbollah in Lebanon in response to gunfire towards Israel on Monday.

10. A US State Department spokesperson has said that nearly 1,000 American citizens and their family members have left Israel on government-chartered transport.
11. A resolution calling for a humanitarian ceasefire in the armed conflict between Israel and Hamas drafted by Russia fell through in the United Nations Security Council on Monday. The draft resolution received five votes in favor and four votes against, along with six abstentions.
