Amid online rumors speculating that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has six fingers, he responded to a mocking post on X (formerly Twitter) that questioned whether his recent appearances were generated by artificial intelligence.

On Monday, Netanyahu replied with a message that read, "You raised a finger here," along with a thinking-face emoji. His comment was directed at an account that claimed the recent photos of Netanyahu were not AI-generated and suggested that he had always had six fingers. This comment followed days of online speculation about a televised address in which the prime minister was perceived to have six fingers on one hand, leading to accusations that the footage was fake.

In a separate video posted earlier, Netanyahu was seen at a cafe outside Jerusalem, receiving a cup of coffee.

"You know what? I'm โ€œdyingโ€ for my people. How they are behaving is fantastic," he could be heard adding after that.

Netanyahu also raised both his hands to show his fingers. He said, "Do you want to count my fingers? You can see them hereโ€ฆ and here. See? Very nice."

Whatโ€™s Netanyahu's 'Sixโ€‘Finger' Controversy?

Earlier on March 12, Israeli PM held a press conference, a video of which went viral on social media. Some of the users suggested that the video showed him with six fingers on one of his hands.

Comments poured into the post in no time. Netizens said that the video is AI-generated and fake. A user wrote that the video is a "classic AI finger glitch," directing the viewers "to look closely at his hand."

Even some users with unverified accounts claimed that Netanyahu is dead. X's AI chatbot then fact-checked the accounts and clarified those as fake.

Most users believe that the Israeli Prime Minister died a long time ago. The country has made fake AI videos of the Prime Minister, the users said. One of the netizens wrote in Hebrew, "Hey Bibi, are you so special that you've got 6 fingers, or have you been gone from us a long time ago?"

The video sparked a wave of speculations and conspiracy theories, with some netizens claiming that Netanyahu had actually died and it was an AI-generated video.
