As many as 10 persons were killed after two navy helicopters in Malaysia collided mid-air during a military rehearsal on Tuesday. One of the choppers clipped the rotor of the other and both crashed into the ground. A chilling video of the incident has been making the rounds across social media platforms. The two aircraft had set off from Sitiawan field at 9.03 am.
The incident took place in Malaysia’s Lumut Town, which is considered home to a Navy base in the country. As per the reports, no person on board survived the frightening crash. "All victims were confirmed dead at the scene and sent to the Lumut army base hospital for identification," the navy said in their statement.

One helicopter, a HOM M503-3 with seven people on board, crashed into a running track while the other, a Fennec M502-6 carrying three persons, crashed into a swimming pool, as per BBC.

In the rehearsal of the Royal Malaysian Navy parade, several helicopters were flying, and two of them suddenly came very close, resulting in a tragic accident. Malaysian Defence Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin said he was rushing straight to Lumut to inspect the situation on the ground closely.
The incident came after a Malaysian Coast Guard helicopter crashed into the sea off Malaysia's Angsa Island during a training flight in March. Four persons, including the pilot and co-pilot were killed int the incident.
