Nepal Plane Crash Update: A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal's Kathmandu, where a private Nepalese domestic plane crashed during takeoff. The Saurya Airlines plane, carrying a total of 19 people, was bound for the city of Pokhara. The crash resulted in the deaths of 18 people on board the aircraft. The pilot, the sole survivor, was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The crash took place around 11 AM when the aircraft veered off the runway and burst into flames. Footage from the scene showed dramatic moments as the plane sped down the runway before a fire broke out, with high flames and thick black smoke billowing from the wreckage. Visuals which have emerged from the incident site show the completely charred remains of the aircraft.

According to the Himalayan Times newspaper, the Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft was only carrying technical staff of the airline. "There were no passengers on board but the plane was carrying few technical staff," news agency PTI quoted Gyanendra Bhul, information officer at the TIA, as saying.
“The accident occurred after the Pokhara-bound flight suffered a runway excursion during takeoff,” said TIA Spokesperson Subash Jha.
A fire that broke out from the aircraft has been put off. Police and firefighters are carrying out rescue operations at the accident site. Following the plane crash, authorities have shut down the TIA due to which Dozens of international and domestic flights have been affected.
