Bhutan And Tibet Earthquake: Earthquakes with magnitudes of 4.9 and 4.4 struck Bhutan and Tibet on Saturday. The tremors were also felt across the northeastern part of India. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) stated that the first earthquake occurred in Bhutan at 4.01 pm and the second one in Tibet at 5.49 pm.

The epicentre was around 3 kilometres from Gyelpozhing in Bhutan and struck at a depth of 5 kilometres around 4.01 pm. The earthquake was located at a latitude of 27.163 North and a longitude of 91.240 East.

The epicentre of the quake in Tibet was at a depth of 170 kilometres around 5.49 pm. The earthquake was located at a latitude of 31.928 North and a longitude of 89.136 East. No immediate reports of casualties or damage have emerged.
Two Earthquakes Hit Northwestern Nepal
The earthquake in Bhuta and Tibet came two days after neighbouring country, Nepal, felt back-to-back jolts. Earthquakes struck northwestern Nepal on Wednesday. However, there have been no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
According to the National Seismological Research Centre, the first tremor of magnitude 4.5 was recorded at 1:51 am (local time). The second quake, with a magnitude of 4.2, struck at 4:28 am (local time), with its epicentre also located around Kalai in Mugu district, the centre said. The shock was also felt in neighbouring districts of Dolpa and Jumla.
Nepal, situated in a seismically active zone, frequently experiences earthquakes. The region continues to be on alert, with authorities monitoring for any aftershocks or potential structural damage in the affected areas.
