At least nine people, including two children, were killed in a shooting at a house in Erie, Pennsylvania, US on Friday evening. According to police, the suspected gunman also died. The Pennsylvania Governor, Josh Shapiro, confirmed the tragic death of nine people in an X post.
"I’ve spoken with Mayor Devlin and offered my Administration’s full support following the tragic mass shooting in Erie last night — killing nine of our fellow Pennsylvanians. My heart breaks for this family. Lori and I are praying for their loved ones and the entire Erie community," his post read.

Local media reported that around 5 pm (local time) on Friday, police arrived at the crime scene, a residence on the 700 block of Perry Street. Two women were found dead outside the home, while other victims died inside. KBTX News 3 reported that the shooter first killed two women on the premises of the home and then entered the house to kill others.
