What is NYT Strands and how do you play?

Strands is a word puzzle game from The New York Times that's a mix of games like Connections, Spelling Bee, and crosswords. You’re given a 6x8 grid of letters (48 letters total) and a daily theme. Your goal is to find:

-The Spangram—a longer word or phrase that runs across the grid and relates to the theme.
-Several other words related to the theme hidden in the grid.

To play, you connect letters by dragging your finger or mouse in any direction-- up, down, sideways, or diagonally-- to make words.

Once you find the Spangram and all the theme words, you have solved the puzzle.
