Sirens And Explosions In Jammu And Kashmir
Residents of Jammu reported hearing multiple loud explosions early Thursday morning, prompting the activation of air raid sirens and blackout protocols across the region, as reported by Reuters. Similar alerts were triggered in Akhnoor, Samba, Baramulla, and Kupwara, areas close to the India-Pakistan border and Line of Control (LoC). These preemptive safety measures were initiated after the detection of inbound aerial threats. Security officials said the intercepted drones and missiles were of Pakistani origin and were part of a coordinated attempt to target key Indian military infrastructure.
Nine Terror Camps Destroyed In Pakistan And PoK
This latest flare-up comes a day after Indian forces reportedly destroyed nine terror camps operating inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). These strikes were part of ongoing Indian efforts to dismantle cross-border terror infrastructure following a spate of attacks targeting Indian cities. The Indian Ministry of Defence emphasised that while India seeks peace, it will not hesitate to act decisively in the face of aggression.
