Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir's so-called Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq has publicly threatened India and said he will sponsor more such attacks in the valley. "Tum Balochistan Mein Pakistaniyon Ke Khoon Se Holi Kheloge, Iski Kimat Tumhe Dilli Se Lekar Kashmir Tak Deni Padegi" which roughly translates as "If you will play Holi with the blood of Pakistanis in Balochistan, you will have to pay the price for this from Delhi to Kashmir".
Balochistan unrest
In a provocative statement, the puppet prime minister alleged India for sponsoring atrocities in PoK-- a claim that was rejected by the locals on multiple occasions. In reality, Balochistan has always been a mineral-rich region. For decades, the Pakistan government illegally outsourced its resources and hand over to China. This resulted in clashes between the Pakistani government and the locals who claimed they were barred from securing employment opportunities. They claimed the Shehbaz Sharif-led government handed over the minings to Chinese companies which engaged their own nationals to the working site.

Notably, this was not the first time when he challenged India. Earlier in January this year, he called terrorists for "jihad against India". During a public event, the puppet pm announced that the Pakistani government would mobilise all available resources to oust Indian forces from Jammu and Kashmir. The statement from Haq came amid speculations that India may target Pakistan in Balakot-style airstrike. However, an official word from the Indian government is still awaited.
Pakistan calls emergency meeting
As of writing this article, Pakistan’s National Security Committee (NSC) — the top security body — is meeting currently to assess India’s slew of aggressive measures against the country — in the wake of an attack-- and formulate a comprehensive policy reaction, Dawn reported. On Wednesday, India shut borders, downgraded diplomatic ties and, in an unprecedented move, unilaterally announced the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty over Islamabad’s support for cross-border terrorism. Pakistan has denied any role in the attack and offered condolences for the loss of lives.
The NSC meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is set to "discuss in detail India's "irresponsible actions" after the Pahalgam attack", state-run Radio Pakistan reported. The meeting is being attended by senior civil and military leadership to deliberate upon the “internal and external situation arisen after the Pahalgam false flag operation”.
Is Pakistan preparing for war?
Meanwhile, media reports claimed that Pakistan has issued a notification to carry out a surface-to-surface missile test off its Karachi coast along its coastline within its Exclusive Economic Zone on April 24-25, news agency ANI reported citing its defence sources. It said that the Indian agencies concerned are keeping a close watch on all the developments.
