Islamabad Court Blast Today:A powerful explosion near the Islamabad judicial complex on Tuesday resulted in at least 12 deaths and left an estimated 20 to 25 people injured, according to reports from Pakistani media. Police said that the explosion occurred in a car parked outside the facility.

Suicide Blast
A DawnNewsTV reported that the sound of the blast was heard as far as six kilometres away. It also reported that the incident has been cordoned off as authorities were conducting an investigation.
As per Geo News sources, it was a "suicide blast"; although the official details about the deadly blast is yet to be announced. It reported that the "head" of the suspected suicide bomber was found at the place of the explosion.
Islamabad deputy inspector general (DIG), chief commissioner and forensic team arrived at the site of the explosion soon after, while the rescue teams and law enforcers shifted the deceased and injured to the hospital.
The deadly attack came a day after a explosion in a car killed at least 12 people in India's national capital, Delhi.
Pakistan terror attacks
Pakistan has seen a surge in terrorist attacks, particularly in areas bordering Afghanistan, mostly targeting police, law enforcement personnel, and security forces Separately, security forces killed at least 20 Taliban militants in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the army said on Monday.
Earlier today, at least 16 personnel were injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast that targeted a security forces' convoy in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincey.
The convoy comprising Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps personnel was returning from Loni Post in Dera Ismail Khan district when the IED blast occurred in Loni village late on Monday.
