Muridke Destroyed in Operation Sindoor: Days after a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander admitted that the family of Masood Azhar was killed in Indian missile strikes on Bahawalpur, a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative has confessed on video that the group’s headquarters at Muridke was flattened during Operation Sindoor.
In a widely circulated video on social media, Lashkar commander Qaasim can be seen standing at the ruins of Markaz Taiba in Muridke, located in Pakistan’s Punjab province. He admitted that the Indian strike on May 7 destroyed the complex, which had served as LeT’s main operational base for years. “I am standing on the ruins of Markaz Taiba in Muridke, which was destroyed in the attack. The rebuilding process is underway. With God’s grace, this mosque will be rebuilt bigger than before,” Qaasim said in the video.
The operative also revealed that the demolished mosque complex had been used for training mujahideen and talaba (students) in Lashkar’s indoctrination and military programs.

Rebuilding With Pakistan’s Support?
In another clip, LeT deputy chief Saifullah Kasuri claimed that the Pakistan government and army were directly funding the reconstruction of the destroyed camp. He called on Pakistani youths to enroll in Daura-e-Suffa, Lashkar’s training module that combines religious indoctrination with armed training. According to a dossier prepared by Indian intelligence agencies and cited by NDTV, Lashkar is quietly rebuilding the Muridke complex.

Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7, weeks after 26 civilians were killed in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam. Indian forces carried out coordinated precision strikes on nine terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Key targets included:
• Markaz Taiba, Muridke (Lashkar-e-Taiba HQ)
•Sarjal Camp, Sialkot (Hizbul Mujahideen)
•Mehmoona Joya Camp, Sialkot (Hizbul Mujahideen)
• Abbas Camp, Kotli (Lashkar-e-Taiba)
•Gulpur Camp, Kotli (Lashkar-e-Taiba)
•Syedna Bilal Camp, Muzaffarabad (Jaish-e-Mohammed)
• Sawai Nala Camp, Muzaffarabad (Lashkar-e-Taiba)
Satellite imagery and post-strike visuals confirmed widespread damage at these locations.
Pakistan’s Denial Under Pressure
Earlier this month, JeM commander Masood Ilyas Kashmiri admitted in a viral video that Indian forces “tore apart” the family of JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar during the Bahawalpur strike. At least ten of Azhar’s relatives, including his sister, nephew and several children, were reportedly killed. Even Azhar himself acknowledged the loss, releasing a statement saying he had “no regrets” despite losing close family members.
Islamabad has long denied the presence of Azhar and Lashkar camps on its soil. But the fresh video confessions from both LeT and JeM operatives have once again exposed Pakistan’s duplicity in harboring and supporting proscribed terror groups.
