The Pakistan Army on Saturday issued a blatant warning in response to recent statements by Indian military officials and political leaders, cautioning that any future conflict between the two countries could result in “cataclysmic devastation.”
In a statement, the Pakistan Army described the remarks by Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, and Air Chief Marshal A P Singh as “delusional, provocative and jingoistic.” The statement said such comments indicate an attempt at “fabricating arbitrary pretexts for aggression,” which could destabilize peace and security in South Asia.
Indian Leaders Issue Stern Warnings
The escalation follows a series of remarks from Indian leaders. On Friday, General Dwivedi warned Pakistan to stop sponsoring terrorism on its soil if it wanted to maintain its global standing. He also stated that the restraint shown by India during Operation Sindoor earlier this year would not be repeated in a future conflict.
Air Chief Marshal Singh claimed that at least a dozen Pakistani military aircraft, including US-origin F-16 jets, were destroyed or damaged during India’s Operation Sindoor strikes. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh added that India could cross any border if necessary to protect its citizens and safeguard national unity and integrity.
Pakistan Signals ‘Decisive Response’
Responding to India’s warnings, the Pakistan Army emphasiSed its capability and readiness to retaliate without restraint. “Pakistan shall not hold back. We shall resolutely respond, without any qualms or restraint,” the statement said. It also outlined a “new normal of response,” describing it as “swift, decisive and destructive,” capable of reaching “every nook and corner of the enemy’s territory.”
The statement further addressed threats of “erasing Pakistan from the map,” warning that such an outcome, if triggered, would be mutual. “Earlier this year, the Indian attack brought two nuclear powers to the brink of war,” it noted, referring to Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

Tensions are also simmering over the Sir Creek sector, a 96-km-long tidal estuary between Gujarat and Pakistan, which is disputed due to differing interpretations of maritime boundaries. Defence Minister Singh had warned that any Pakistani misadventure in the area would invite a “decisive response” capable of changing both history and geography.
The Pakistan Army, led by Field Marshal Asim Munir, has reiterated that any fresh military confrontation could have severe consequences for the entire region, signaling that Islamabad is closely monitoring Indian statements and preparing for potential escalation.
