Pakistan's army chief, General Asim Munir, made controversial anti-India comments, saying Pakistanis are completely different from Hindus in every way and claimed this was the main reason behind the partition in 1947. Speaking at the Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad, the Army chief stressed Pakistan’s creation was based on the "two-nation theory" and urged families to teach their kids about it. "Tell your children Pakistan’s story so they never forget," Munir said.
He explained that Pakistan was formed in 1947 because "our forefathers saw we were different from Hindus in religion, customs, traditions, thoughts, and goals. That’s why we are two separate nations, not one." He praised the sacrifices made to create Pakistan and promised to protect it.

It was our jugular win: Pakistani army chief on Kashmir
Further, the Pakistani Army chief asserted an anti-Kashmir stance during the event and said, "My stance on Kashmir is absolutely clear (clear)...It was our jugular win (VEIN) ..it is our jugular win (VEIN)...we will not forget it and we will not leave our Kashmiri brethren in their heroic struggle...what they are waging against the Indian occupation..." His comments came after India criticised Pakistan for bringing up the Kashmir issue at a UN meeting. India also demanded Pakistan leave the parts of Jammu and Kashmir it occupies.

Munir also spoke about security issues in Balochistan, naming rebel groups like the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), and Baloch Republican Army (BRA). He vowed to defeat them, saying, “These 1,500 terrorists can’t take Balochistan from us. No group of terrorists, even for generations, can harm Balochistan or Pakistan.”
Assuring that the country's armed forces will overcome the threat posed by terrorists, he affirmed, "Do Pakistan's enemies think that a handful of terrorists can decide the fate of Pakistan?...even ten generations of terrorists cannot harm Balochistan and Pakistan." According to the army chief, "As long as the brave people of this country stand with the Pakistan Armed Forces, your army can easily face every difficulty." "Today we are giving this clear message together that whatever stands in the way of Pakistan's progress, we will remove that obstacle together," he added.
Notably, Balochistan has witnessed a surge in militant attacks and alleged extrajudicial killings. A recent incident was the hijacking of the Jaffar Express train by Baloch rebel groups on March 11. The train, carrying 440 passengers, was ambushed, and several hostages were taken.
