  1. Pentagon releases 160 classified UFO/UAP records.
  2. Files contain military videos, FBI interviews, intelligence.
  3. Experts: records do not prove alien life exists.

The United States government has released a fresh batch of classified UFO-related records, reigniting one of humanity’s biggest questions: Are we alone in the universe? Acting under directions from US President Donald Trump, the Pentagon on Friday published around 160 files connected to what the government officially calls "unidentified anomalous phenomena" (UAP). The release includes military videos, FBI interviews, diplomatic cables, cockpit reports, NASA transcripts and intelligence assessments spanning several decades.

The newly declassified records cover incidents from the late 1940s up to January this year. The Pentagon also launched a public archive website and said more files could be released after further review.

What evidence hint at aliens?

Among the most talked-about documents is a 1994 diplomatic cable from the US Embassy in Tajikistan. It described a strange glowing object seen over Kazakhstan by a Tajik pilot and three Americans. According to the report, the object made sharp 90-degree turns, corkscrew movements and rapid circular manoeuvres at very high speeds.

Another report from the Aegean Sea in 2023 described an unidentified object flying just above the water while making sudden turns at around 80 mph.

Several documents also mention glowing spherical "orbs." One intelligence official described seeing a “super-hot” orb during a helicopter search mission, while another FBI interview detailed a drone operator witnessing a bright linear object that suddenly disappeared within seconds.

The archive further includes more than 20 military videos recorded in regions such as North America, Iraq, Syria, the UAE and the East China Sea. Some clips show fast-moving objects streaking across the screen, while others appear to hover or glide steadily.

Do aliens exist?

Despite the dramatic footage, experts say the files do not prove alien life exists. The Pentagon’s earlier 2024 report had already concluded there was no evidence that the US government possessed alien technology or had confirmed contact with extraterrestrial beings. Friday’s release did not change that conclusion.

Former Pentagon investigator Sean Kirkpatrick said many videos are often misunderstood because military sensors, infrared systems and camera optics can create unusual visual effects.

UFO researcher Mick West argued that many clips simply show distant objects that are difficult to identify under poor viewing conditions.

Still, some researchers believe the disclosures remain historically important because they reveal the scale of government monitoring of unexplained aerial incidents. The release has once again fuelled public curiosity, even if the mystery behind many sightings remains unresolved.
