Quetta Bomb Blast:  A massive explosion near Quetta Railway Station in Pakistan's Balochistan left at least 21 people dead and over 30 injured, on Saturday morning. The blast occurred just as a train was preparing to depart from the platform for Peshawar, according to Pakistan's Dawn News.

Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), an outfit fighting for the rights and independence of the Balochistan province, claimed responsibility for the Quetta attack. The BLA claimed that it was a fidayeen attack, which targeted a "Pakistani army unit" returning via Jaffer Express after completing a course at the Infantry School.

"This morning, a Fidayee attack was carried out on a Pakistani army unit at Quetta Railway Station as they were returning via Jaffer Express after completing a course at the Infantry School. The attack was executed by the BLA’s Fidayee unit, Majeed Brigade. Details will soon be released to the media," BLA said in an unverified statement posted over social media platforms.

Visuals, which emerged on social media platform X, showed dead bodies scattered around the platform while security agencies carrying out the rescue. The intensity of the blast was so severe that the roof of the platform almost vanished.

A CCTV footage also emerged showing the moment of the Pakistan's Quetta bomb blast. Several social media handles shared the video showing the high-intensity blast at the crowded station.

Balochistan, a resource-rich province of Pakistan remained in unrest amid the Pakistan establishment's mindless poaching of valuable minerals and human rights abuse of Baloch citizens.

The recent attack by BLA marked one in a long series of attacks, targeting Pakistani army. In an earlier attack, BLA targeted a van carrying Pakistani and Chinese officials.
